Case Studies

Real runners. Real races. Real work.

Each write-up is the same story every time: where we started, what we built, and the result in plain numbers. No invented specifics, no curated gloss.

    Case Study

Walter took 15 minutes off his Comrades 2025 — here's how we did it.

    01

    Where we started

Walter had niggles that held him back from improving consistently. He was struggling to absorb mileage later on in training programs, his results were plateauing, and he had gaps in strength work with no real plan when he went to the gym.

    02

    What we built

A well-thought-out and planned programme that tackles different focus areas depending on where we are in the running calendar — whether preparing for Comrades or a marathon. Tailoring each stage within the strength programme and carefully prescribing the correct reps, sets, weight, eccentric and concentric work.

    03

    The result

Walter now loves strength work and has realised how important it is to improving as a runner — and to remaining healthy in general as a human. Fifteen minutes off at Comrades 2025.

Thanks, Jarryd, you understand my running cycle and managed to fit my strength training in with my running.
